A modern factory needs a modern fleet. Heiploeg, therefore, has its own transportation division: Heitrans b.v. Heitrans specialises in chilled and frozen transportation.
The Heitrans vehicles transport our goods in most countries of Europe and to peeling plants in Morocco. Once the vehicles have delivered the shrimp at our customers’ sites, goods are loaded again for the journey back for both Heiploeg and for third parties. The load back for third parties consists of various products such as vegetables and fruit and all sorts of non-food products such as cardboard, foil, packaging material and empty packaging.
Heitrans has a large number of articulated lorries equipped with the latest technologies to transport both fresh and frozen products responsibly. All articulated lorries are equipped with the most modern communication equipment such as a black-box, telephone and a tracking and tracing system. The temperature in our 59 trailers can be checked by our planning department which will be warned via satellite when temperatures are exceeded.
Heitrans aspires to supply the highest quality possible and is, therefore, HACCP and ISO 9001 certified. Even though this has not yet become a statutory requirement, all our drivers have a certificate authorising them to transport perishables (ATP).
Keywords such as speed, flexibility and hygiene occupy centre stage at Heitrans. These are really self-evident since Heitrans is a company that sends approximately fifty drivers on their way through the whole of Europe on a daily basis to take an abundance of products safely to their destinations.
