If you ask your average Englishman for a recipe for shrimp he is bound to say “potted shrimps”. Fortunately, times are changing and most people know that you can prepare a variety of dishes with shrimp, be these brown or the large pink variety of shrimp. Encouraged by the menus in restaurants, the recipes in magazines and cookbooks and, above all, the tips provided by the many cookery programmes on TV, culinary creativity is being stimulated and the tastiest dishes are being created in the English kitchen as well as outside the home.

Shrimp are perfect as a snack, as a first course or dessert and are an appetizing climax for a variety of main courses. Shrimp are also a very welcome guest on barbeques.

Because home cuisine is becoming more and more popular and the various types of shrimp is becoming more accessible than ever we decided to serve up a few recipes that are not so commonplace. Bon appetit!
